Medical Missions for Christ

Who We Serve

Our patients are residents of the greater Lake of the Ozarks area. They are low income (under 200% of Federal Poverty Level, based on size of household) and uninsured, underinsured, or are otherwise unable to access the care they need.

Why We Serve

Jesus is our model for service. Just as He loved and served people without regard to their social status, we serve all clients with compassion and respect.

Citizens Against Domestic Violence (CADV)

Building resiliency in our community through empowered advocacy.

About Citizens Against Domestic Violence

CADV/VOC  established in 1984, is a non-profit organization that provides crisis intervention, shelter, advocacy, and support to victims of domestic and sexual violence. The highly committed Board of Directors, staff and volunteers provide the information, tools, resources and support that empower victims to make and sustain positive choices in their lives. These changes lead to the happiness and security of a life free from violence.

OUR MISSION

Citizens Against Domestic Violence strives to cultivate a culture of resiliency in which individuals experiencing abuse are empowered to thrive. Through advocacy services and community engagement we will pursue an end to violence in the lake area.

Food for Morgan County

Our Mission

Food for Morgan County values everyone in the Morgan County and the surrounding areas. We strive hard provide food for the Morgan County residents in need.

We are a “Choice Pantry” where our guest are able to shop for items in our distribution room for products they will utilize in planning their meals. By enabling our guest to choose their food supplies it helps reduce the amount of waste that is often associated with food pantries.

Share the Harvest Food Pantry & Thrift Store

Share the Harvest Food Pantry serves an average of 800 families a month. In the past 8 years, we have provided 2,880,000 lbs. of food. 50% of the food on our shelves comes from the Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri, 35% from local grocery stores and 15% from our local community donations.

In 2005, Share the Harvest Food Pantry and Thrift Store was established by a community group that recognized a need to provide food to families and was dedicated to addressing the need. In the first month, Share the Harvest Food Pantry served 100 families (in 2015 the pantry is serving 1000 families each month). The food was distributed in two small buildings. Families (clients) had to wait in line outside no matter the weather.

Week of Compassion

Week of Compassion is more than a week. It is a ministry of the whole Church, reaching those in need “around the world, around the year.” Any time we respond to a need in the world, we bear witness to the unity of our table, faithfully sharing the gifts that we have as an expression of Christ’s love. In working together with partners, we represent the Disciples of Christ commitment to unity, making our resources reach farther and growing our impact on a global scale.

See where your gifts are in action all over the world:

Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
