Your goal - A beautiful and meaningful wedding - is our goal, too.
Our church is designed with brides (and grooms) in mind. There is a beautifully-appointed Parlor conveniently located for use as a Bride's Room. The groom and his party are comfortably accomodated in the church's Library which includes cable TV for keeping up with all the sports activities while getting ready for the wedding. Both the beautiful Sanctuary with its wide center aisle and roomy Chancel and our unique Outdoor Chapel may be booked for your wedding. It is simply a matter to dropping by to explore our lovely facilities and then schedule your wedding on the church calendar. You may call the church office at 573-374-0647 to check available dates prior to your visit.
The Loehr Center is available for your rehearsal dinner or reception. With a full kitchen, caterers find it an easy place to prepare and serve. The dining room can seat up to 150 people at table or a larger crowd if they are standing. Our facilities are, however, both smoke-free and alcohol-free.
Once you have decided to have your wedding at West Lake, a fee of $100 is required to place your date on the calendar. This fee is fully refundable if you change your mind or once all wedding activities are completed. The purpose of this fee is two fold: first, it keeps people from scheduling a wedding and then not notifying us if their intentions change; second, it is a "security deposit" which protects the church from damages to facilities and furnishings if the wedding guidelines are not followed.
There are other fees associated with a wedding. These fees are for the cost of operating the facilities exclusively for your wedding needs and for the additional personnel whose services are required. Since each wedding is unique, these fees vary according to need. Both a copy of our Wedding Guidelines and Fee Schedule are available in the church office at the time of your initial visit.
Our Minister is available to officiate at your wedding. Scheduling a "getting acquainted" visit with him will allow him to explain the full range of options available to you as you plan not only for your wedding, but for a life-long, lasting, loving relationship. If you wish to use a different minister, you are welcome to do so, but there are special requirements to be met to assist them in their role.
