Watercolor painting

Every Friday morning at 9:30 am, watercolor classes are offered in the library and taught by Diane Gilmore.  If you wish to join this group, give her a call for details at 573-372-6665.

Christian Women's Fellowship

All women of the church are invited to meet on the second Tuesday of the month from September through May.  They gather at 11:30 a.m. in the Loehr Center for a short program, then a potluck lunch at 12:00 p.m., followed by a business meeting.  The designated hostesses for the month provide drinks, dessert and bread.  Bring a dish to share.

Please bring Best Choice coupons to the church for processing.  Join the crafters every Monday morning from 9 a.m. to noon, as they prepare for their annual Craft and Bake Sale the first weekend in September.  They also maintain a craft shop in the Loehr Fellowship Hall where the latest crafts are always available to purchase.  No supplies or experience required to join the crafters, just come and have fun.  If you need more information, call Mary Ellen Flinn or Diane Gilmore.

CMF and CWF Monday Morning Breakfast

Join the men and women for Breakfast every Monday morning at 8 a.m. at chances R in Laurie.  You will be royally welcomed to this friendly group.

Opportunities at the Senior Center on O Road

This is a fun local mission project, so join with many others who have found this to be a great time to meet other community friends as well as providing a great service!  Call Diane Miles if you can volunteer  a couple hours each month to serve lunch.  Thanks to all those who so generously volunteer their time and energy each month.  You are truly appreciated!

The "Secret Place"

A "Secret" no longer!  The Secret Place is a devotional which is offered for your daily devotions and meditations.  Please find it on the credenza in the entryway of the church.  Start your day right, and let God take care of the rest!

Community for Christ Food Drive

Community for Christ is a not for profit service supported by several churches in our community.  It is a thrift store located in Sunrise Beach, and besides clothing and gently used items, assistance is offered to those who are in need of food, support for bills in their time of need.  Besides financial support, our church provides volunteers to work at the store which is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  We also have an ongoing food drive every 2nd Sunday providing the items listed below. 

Canned fruit, spaghetti and spaghetti sauce, pancake mix (add water only), tomato and other juices.  During the fall and winter months, they also appreciate Pork and Beans, Chili, canned items to make chili, cans of soup, canned meats and vegetables, and canned items that provide protein.  Monetary donations are also always welcomed.

Mexican Train Dominoes

Last Friday of the month, a group playing Mexican Train Dominoes meet at 6 p.m. in the Library.  Bring a snack to share and come and join the fellowship and fun.

Exercise at the church

Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 9:30 a.m. on the lower level, meet with others for a gentle, but effective workout.  You can also always walk in the Loehr Center during times that the church is open and the Center is not being used for other events.  Please check in at the office to announce your presence.

Happy Hour Support Group

If you are single or living alone, we welcome you to join us once a month for fellowship and dinner at restaurants on the last Thursday of each month at 4:30 pm.  If you are interested in joining the group, please call Peggy Crockett at 573-372-5300 for more information.
